In this episode of „Country Roads”, we are out on the road in Raven’s truck. This first one is mostly a shakedown run: we set up the camera and find out what the rig actually does. How much engine noise it picks up and whether our voices still carry under it, the reflection of the screen in the windshield, image stabilization turned all the way up and then all the way down to see the difference, a switch to normal video, 60 frames, loop recording every three minutes, and a change of aspect ratio to 2.35:1 for the cinema look. We keep an eye on the battery while the screen is running. And in between, the things you notice from the cab: the sun doing you good, the first butterfly of the year, the insects back again, the hope for a summer that is not too dry — and what a tankful costs today, 170 euros. No big topic this time. Just the road, the truck, and a camera we are still learning.
From this ride: 2.35:1, 60 fps, loop recording every 3 min, tankful 170 €.
