Facts that are not yours become the priority, your own ones run as a sideshow. Nobody makes your living while you carry other people’s problems, and the power you spend on them feeds the ones who explain them to you.

A problem is a solution that has not been made yet. In your own life you find out what is wrong, you fix it, and then the next one comes. A problem that is never meant to be solved is a business. The nail does not go into the wood by itself and the hammer does not swing by itself, so the explanation why it cannot be done is a decision, not a fact. Everything ever built together — the Hoover Dam, the highways, the cars, the airplanes — was a pile of problems that got solved.

From there to the republic: the system where the people have the power to govern the country, not to be led and not to be dictated to. It takes no education to see who is lying for his own profit, only life experience. And it starts with each one by himself, because everybody builds the community — the neighbour is not the enemy, whatever anybody says... It is summer, sun, harvest time, and the countryside has changed a lot in the meantime. The camera keeps the new perspective, because there is no sense in talking about a beautiful day if nobody watching can see anything of it. And a great deal has happened in the world since we were last out here, much of it not comfortable to look at.

But the question that matters is how we make our own lives and what we can still influence there. The basics have not changed: a life with a future in it for us and for our children, and work we can live from. That is what needs to be known, and it does not need the dividing into left or right. What it needs is a community that cooperates — because we manage it in our jobs every day, so why not personally, and why not standing together to tell a government when it is doing rubbish.

A republic is not a dictatorship, and that is worth realising properly. It does not work anonymously — not without participation. Nobody has to put his name to a motion; the point is that you take part and know which part is yours. Excluding yourself is not the same as being included. If everybody stands aside from any influence over a corrupt system, then there is no republic left to speak of. It is like wanting to paint the door: you can sit in front of it and say it ought to be done, and the door never gets painted.

Then the hard part. The split is the method: when everybody is the enemy of everybody else, the Hitlers and the Mussolinis have their best chance, and that is exactly how the power gets taken away from people. One nation indivisible means all of us, not some of these and some of those. Whoever has that kind of plan is the thing to stand against, so that it does not end again in mass-produced dead bodies. And whichever side you imagine yourself on, among those who get killed or those who are exempt from it — nobody can live with the outcome either way. The programme does not have to be worked out; it is annihilation, and it has always ended in a total breakdown with everyone starting from zero.

So: kindergarten, or grown people? Can we learn from what we know and take it seriously, or do we live in a fantasy where a good fairy turns up and fixes it? There is no such thing. What there is, is the president of the United States playing the fairy, and a vice president heading U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the manner of Himmler’s SS. What everybody can see does not seem to concern anyone. And the children are in danger for it, worldwide — crippled, abused, the Epstein business.

Laziness answers no problems; it makes new ones and makes them bigger. Nobody who does not clear the ground he stands on ever has anything to stand on. And there is no elite by nature: there are competent people who can advise or support, but nobody who naturally stands above the rest.

Which lands where it usually lands. You have tools, knowledge and skills — make something with them, and do not wait for the neighbour. Do not stare at what does not work; look at what does, at what you can practise and live. Life is for living, not for suffering, being ill and dying, and we are here to build a future for the next generation. That is the point of being able to have one.

From this ride: back on the road after a long pause, summer sun and harvest time, the last days more like autumn and today like an Indian summer again, and the camera keeping the new perspective.

📺 Also available on Rutube and Youtube:
https://rutube.ru/video/9c0d4076da3824d1b603407081da15be/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k749TXMIZ6I

✍️ What do you have to say? The camera sits where it has never sat before, so the view is one we have not had until now — what the driver actually sees. In the next village we go straight on instead of turning, because of what was blocked last week. Not every week the same thing. The sun is behind the clouds and it is decent weather all the same. But the trees are already red, a month to six weeks before their time, and the green is far brighter than it should be. The weather is unusual and it gets said plainly. It is a holiday, campers are out, and the pumps are dearer — worth knowing that the filling station earns almost nothing on a litre; that end of it belongs to the oil company.

From there it goes hard and stays there. Our government supports the conditions for war and not the people, and we elected it, so we carry it. If we go along with that, we had better not shout afterwards about losing our families, our homes and the future our children were supposed to have. And if we do not go along with it, then we have to do something — that is the actual question, and neither of us knows how many people are still going along. Inactivity makes nothing better. Better to act while there is still something standing than to wait until everything is burned down, because then the strength that could have built something goes into clearing the ruins instead.

It gets said that Germany does not need to build camps, because there are already places where people are concentrated with an intention, and most have not noticed.

Then daydreams, and they get short shrift. A dream sits inside your head while the real thing keeps running outside it. Believing that nothing can go wrong stops nothing from going wrong, and when war knocks at the door it is not a firework. Nobody else is going to do it for you — whoever acts, acts for his own good, not for yours. Nor should anyone imagine himself safely inside whatever group is meant to be spared: almost everybody believes he belongs to it, and that belief is the daydream.

Then law. In the broadest sense law exists to guide people to treat each other fairly, not to kill, reduce, discriminate or condemn. Justice for all. And there is a simple answer to not standing up when you can see what is being done to somebody: you are next.

Which comes back to cooperation. A society works through cooperation and not through hatred; without it the human race would never have got this far, and not taking part is a disgrace to everyone. Along the roadside stands the counter-example: crows out on the fields looking for food, small birds after worms, the trees green and getting on with it. They have no daydreams. We are part of nature too — with one difference: the mess a society makes is ours to clear up, and nature will not do it for us.

It ends on a question worth taking with you: what do you want to do with your life? We pull over and look. It turns out the master cylinder has drawn a little air, probably some dirt; everything else is dry, so it is not the brakes themselves. The backup was there the whole time, and after that she behaves normally again. That is how it goes: something shows up, you go for it and fix it — no yelling about it. You watch how the machine runs while you drive, and you stop when it does not run right. Finding it out is a basic part of living.

The rest follows from the same idea. The engine sounds good today because somebody does something to it, precisely and regularly; it would not sound like that otherwise. And the engine sounds different at different outside temperatures: the combustion runs differently in the cold than in the heat, and you hear it. Nobody gets around that, because we are part of it ourselves, and no amount of believing changes it.

Then boredom. Whoever is bored has not been looking at what is going on — being bored means not taking part. It starts with children who are told what to do instead of finding their own way to fill an afternoon, and it goes on with grown people waiting for the next person to tell them what comes next. Do everything for somebody and you end up wanting something back for it. Cook your own goose and you are well fed.

Which leads to what a community actually rests on. The human race did not get this far because one big leader announced who does what. Everybody did his own thing, in his own place and trade. Organisers are needed, so that cooperation can be arranged — that kind of leader is worth having. But without all of us there is no community in the first place.

Along the way: the spider on the captain’s side, who has lived in the cab for something like twenty years — her, her children and their children; a pet that takes no looking after. Rain that is welcome, because it is good for the farmers and food does not grow in the grocery store. A man clearing the ditches with his hazard lights on, doing his work. The school on the left, children inside where they belong. And plenty of traffic, which is a good sign — a video with nobody out there would be a strange thing.

This is the first part of the tour.

From this ride: setting off about twenty minutes later than last week, cloudy with a little drizzle and no blue sky, warmer and greener than the week before, a brake fault traced to air in the master cylinder and normal again afterwards, the spider on the captain’s side for some twenty years, and two girls out with horses an hour before the ride.

📺 Also available on Rutube and Youtube:
https://rutube.ru/video/3cb700eb687231000fe968a7598fb834/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNqMTt5CMwI

✍️ What do you have to say? A detour has pushed everything through here, and the holiday adds to it — normally there is nobody on this stretch at all, and today most of the licence plates are from somewhere else.

The rain earlier turns out to have done a job: everything was dusty in the morning, then it came down, washed it all off, and the sun came out on a clean landscape. A car wash nobody has to pay for. The dust is already settling back on.

It is worth saying plainly that the weather in these films is luck. Anyone watching could get the idea it is always sunny out here. It is not. This is not California.

There is a stretch about a phrase. In German, doing something “für die Katz” means doing it for nothing; in English, “the cat’s pyjamas” is something splendid. The same animal, the opposite meaning.

And the thing that runs underneath the whole ride: it is as it is, and wanting it different changes nothing. Life is what it is, and so is reality. There is no other place we would rather build in.

Toward the end, the schoolchildren are out on the left — the school from the first part of the tour, where the yard was still empty.

From this ride: the way home on the same day, a detour pushing traffic onto the small roads, licence plates from out of the area, the morning rain having washed the dust off, blue sky and sun holding, a construction site along the way, and the schoolchildren out at the end.

📺 Also available on Rutube and Youtube:
https://rutube.ru/video/529639446c003555abc9d99075b0257e/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-8HUa2Ur8s

✍️ What do you have to say? From there the conversation works through what that takes: respect for what other people count for, so they can take part; a community that is friendly, neighbourly and helpful rather than hateful, because that is what a country worth living in is built out of. Problems get solved together, not everybody on his own. And nobody gets cut out of it — a selfish game may pay one person for a while, but never for long, and that holds all the way down into a single family.

The other half is the part nobody else can do for you. You take the conditions you have and make the best of them, without blaming anybody for what you did not get. Falling down is no disgrace; staying down is. Nature does it without complaint: the birds and the plants make almost the best of what they were given, and no bird ever blamed anybody for its problems.

Then the question of what you need in order to know things. Science can take a hundred years or a thousand to work out what life is. Meanwhile we have eyes and a nose, and the human race got itself through thousands of years on exactly that, long before anyone measured it. The equipment is good enough, and using it is not incompetence.

On cooperation: what people manage in an emergency, they manage because they were already doing it beforehand. It does not appear on the day it is needed.

Along the road there is the day itself — good ol’ lady freshly lubricated and sounding different for it, the horses glad of the rain, noticeably more light than there was a month ago, and strawberries at the farm shop far too early for the field. Everything needs its time. People the same.

This is the first part of the tour.

From this ride: morning, a little after ten, rain over the last days, heavy traffic ahead of the holiday, good ol’ lady seventy-two years old and freshly lubricated, the horses back and the rain welcome to them, more light than a month ago, trees blooming white, strawberries at the farm shop.

📺 Also available on Rutube and Youtube:
https://rutube.ru/video/8a1cfb2319812557e66291e0754dd9b1/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIURacp_9VQ

✍️ What do you have to say? The rain has let up, the sun is back out, and we make the right turn that puts us on the road home.

Early on we talk about the filming itself. We hold the view so that what happens beside the road can be seen, because there is no sense in talking about something and then not showing it. You cannot only promise good things and never show them out — nobody likes that, and we do not care to do it either. This view has not been recorded before; all of it the same would only be boring.

Then the sky. Clouds like something painted, and later a blue that stops the talk for a moment. Funny enough, the sun turns up every time we are out driving. It is also good to see that the water has done something — the ground got what it was waiting for. Next village, next turn, the Icelandic horses are back on the right, and somebody Raven knows gets a wave from the cab.

There is more traffic than we expected. We had figured we would have the roads to ourselves today, and instead they are busy, and neither of us can say why.

Which brings it to attention. The next stop sign is there for stopping, and not everybody takes it, so you look for yourself before you pull out. And the turn signal: it is not a question of believing anything, it is a question of concentration — how much of a situation you take part in. When you are in it, you let the others know what you want to do, and that is what the signals are there for. Back to respect and responsibility, and to the safety of everyone else on the road.

From there to the rush. Take your time and not your life. Nobody takes the time for doing things any more, everything has to be done and everything is busy, which is dangerous — and it is a real missing of the good time.

good ol’ lady is audible the whole way. A natural engine — it is not boring, it is built — running smooth today, and here you can listen to everything that is working. That is the worth of it: you realise it much earlier, and you know exactly when something goes wrong. It is a good feeling to have her, and the time with her is a good time.

For a while the talk goes to Louis Armstrong and “What a Wonderful World”, and to what a beautiful day actually is. Even out of a rainy day or a snowy day you can make a good one. It is your choice in the end — and if you decide to hate it, that is on you, and then you make a mess of your own life out of it.

And a word on the seating: the driver has the captain’s side, the other one the drinker side. Seventy-two years old, built in 1954, six litres of diesel in four cylinders, ninety horsepower, six tons — and nothing inside her that a modern vehicle would have: no power steering, no synchromesh, no synchronised gearbox. The only sound from the controls is the air pressure for the brakes. Raven has driven her for thirty-three years and around five hundred thousand miles; Keylam has known her for six. She has changed colour and appearance in that time, the way anything does when you keep at it.

Then the talk turns to what that weight means. She does not stop at an obstacle, she goes through it — and modern trucks are no different in that respect. So the tyres have to be right, the brakes have to be right, the steering has to be right, and you have to know the state of your vehicle before you take it out. Every driver carries that, and it holds for a small car just as much. The point is not to endanger anybody.

From there: being able to help yourself. If you look at your machine and learn it, you can fix it wherever you are, and you do not have to pay everyone else to do what you could do. Maintenance is what keeps a small fault from becoming the breakdown, and waiting for the worst case is always the expensive option — or a total loss. It saves your wallet and it saves your lifetime.

Along the road: a speed limit at the school, which makes sense for the children. The trees have come on since last week now that it has rained; the fields look promising for the food we all want, and that is what the farmers are for. Nobody could stand on his own farm and make everything himself, fuel included — that is what teamwork means. There is the farm shop on the left: cheese and bread, potatoes and onions and meat, bought straight from the people who made it, which means you talk to them and you take the time. That is a piece of culture too.

We get onto Henry Ford for a while — the farmer’s son who built a car ordinary people could afford, one that would run on moonshine. And on the era around it: prohibition, the stock market crash, the depression, a bloody war before and another one after. Exciting, with all the new technology, but not a good time. What we meant was the period before that, when the aim was that people had work and something to show for it. History tells us to keep an eye on what is going on.

And the sky does what it likes: grey, then blue, maybe a drizzle later. A permanently blue sky would be dull in the end. If this planet had run the same day for four and a half billion years, what would there be to look at?

This is the first part of the tour. The second follows as Episode 9.

From this ride: built in 1954 and seventy-two years old, 6 litres, 4 cylinders, 90 hp, six tons, about two tons of payload today, no power steering and no synchromesh, 33 years and roughly 500,000 miles with good ol’ lady, Icelandic horses again, and rain at last.

📺 Also available on Rutube and Youtube:
https://rutube.ru/video/43844453f868f6482e938b895a66b841/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtwKhXfa9Cc

✍️ What do you have to say? Everything is green. But the trees are thirsty. The leaves hang instead of unfolding, and deeper down there is no water for the big trees and the bushes — it has not rained enough for a long time. The grass may still have a little. The farmers are waiting, and so is all that green: one good rain and it would explode.

Nature does the best it can with what it has, and that goes for people, land and animals alike. An apple tree in trouble makes all the more apples, so that the next tree can carry on where it cannot. We have more than that: we can make tools, we can help ourselves out, we can learn from the situation and turn an emergency into something. What we do not see is people moving to prevent the emergency before it arrives. A hard time is coming, and then everyone decides for themselves: pass by, or make something. Nature always makes something. We had better show up the same way — we are part of it.

Then it gets serious, and it stays that way for a while. For living, you need conditions, and as a living being you ought to know what that means: air, water, food, the natural basics. Nobody has to be told they need to breathe. Anyone who does not understand that has no business running an office — you could not run your own kitchen that way. So nobody gets to say they had no clue. They know exactly what they are doing, and the basics are being taken away while everything is kept looking fair. When a sitting president blocks the world economy, or industries decide that people have got too expensive because there are machines, then the money stays where it is and our productivity is not wanted anymore. If nothing gets changed, that is simply the way it goes. If I stop feeding my dog, I know it dies. That is not carelessness; that is purpose. And when it happens slowly, in small steps, hardly anyone notices where it ends.

Our answer is that one person alone does not do the trick. In numbers we are more, and together it can be fixed. If we want a good living, we make it together or we do not have it. And doing nothing is not neutral — doing nothing supports it.

In between there is the road itself: much less traffic, friendlier people, the smell of the fields, a sunrise recorded with the eyes closed and the birds going. Icelandic horses again, riders out. And a rare sight beside the pavement — a bit of dirt road, the way everything was seventy to ninety years ago.

From this ride: 65 to 67 °F (about 18–19 °C) in the afternoon, ground dry and leaves hanging, much less traffic than last week, Icelandic horses and riders, bees and butterflies rare, a stretch of old dirt road.

📺 Also available on Rutube and Youtube:
https://rutube.ru/video/65da61b6fd6292565443e55effa9d4d1/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vp4JKkcGlYw

✍️ What do you have to say? Everything is blooming, the trees are much greener than last week, the wildflowers are coming up, and the yellow keeps turning up sign after sign. Blue sky with the shadows of the clouds rushing across it, dust behind us on the small roads. It gives you a good feeling, and feeling good matters.

Something we keep coming back to: every moment is new. This is not a day in the life that repeats, and it is not a film you can wind back and play again. If you believe you can simply repeat it, you are in real trouble. You have to recognise the moment while it is there.

Then the road gets serious. Somebody overtakes into a curve where you cannot possibly see what is coming, with our hazard lights on, and simply does not care. Taking a risk with your own life is one thing; dragging everyone else into it is another. What you see in the mirror is already the past — and fast enough only ever means here and now. People who drive like that seem very far away from life. What idea of life do they even have?

And that is the question we end up with: how good it is to have a life, and to know it. It is bad to have one and not know what it is there for. What you make of it is the precious part. Everybody has some idea of something to do; nobody is without one, because everybody moves — you cannot not move. The question is only whether what you make of it is useful, practical, and not harmful to others.

In between, the Icelandic horses at the roadside, still in their winter blankets: living creatures with a heart for their own life. They do horse things — and it would do us good to do the things human beings are meant to do. Respect, living together, and a question of culture, even on a small dusty road. And good ol’ lady, seventy-two years old, relaxing to drive, a proper procedure, nothing like a modern car. As for the weather: it is not a waiter you can order from, and wanting to command it is a bad idea from the start.

From this ride: trees much greener than last week, wildflowers coming up, Icelandic horses in winter blankets, blue sky with cloud shadows, dust on the small roads, 8 miles to the gallon, good ol’ lady is 72 years old.

📺 Also available on Rutube and Youtube:
https://rutube.ru/video/a02ac460355f4a406905d41d09486abe/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBeMQYUGgeU

✍️ What do you have to say? The trees are properly blooming and greening now, different from last week, the sun is getting stronger, there are more butterflies. But the woods are dry, really dry, and the ground needs water. A field along the way is not a field anymore — ground that used to grow food, now good for a parking lot. And the wind wheels are all standing still.

Then the talk goes deep and stays hard for most of the ride. We ask what is left for the kids if we change nothing, and what they are being shown in the meantime. We ask why a community does not react with more urgency to what is done to children. Life is real, not a game.

We talk about the republic: people in office have to look at things the way ordinary people do — use their own eyes, see what is actually going on, and then do the job so that it fits a republic. And the question is what a country is run for at all — a glorious economy that fills pockets, or a population that can keep the country going. Automation is replacing people and we are doing a brilliant job at it. A republic for machines works fine; it simply does not need human beings. If people go along with that, they are replacing themselves.

We say plainly that a government can do nothing without our support, and passivity is support. Nobody’s house was built by a man with a white beard in the sky; you built it yourself. One of us talked with a man from an Arab country who was crippled as a child and built his own house anyway — and it is exactly those people who are losing support now.

On religion: as a private practice, fine, live with it. Dictated over a society, no. It is not a matter for a nation, and no reason for the human race to slaughter itself over a war of opinions and beliefs. The Middle Ages showed where that goes. Pray in love, not in hate and not in war. Remember Easter.

And on money: a universal means of payment that makes things easier. What is happening instead is that it gets collected on one side while the other side has none — and then the country does not run anymore. Cooperation is not an idea, it is how nature works; we would never have got this far without it.

From this ride: back roads to avoid traffic, wind wheels all standing still, trees changed since last week, more butterflies, fewer birds than back in the day, the woods damn dry.

📺 Also available on Rutube and Youtube:
https://rutube.ru/video/be83690c591fc6f453f37ad3d33cf343/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDmkJWEVdfo

✍️ What do you have to say? Nature always seems to switch the light on when we are filming. One week has made a difference again: everything has grown, the trees are greener, some are blooming, and plenty of people have not even started mowing yet. Every season has its charm, but spring with all that green is something else. The farmers have prepared their ground; there will be potatoes here this year.

Then we hit a road works that blocks a crossing so badly that you cannot even turn around, with no room to let anyone pass. It is not about that one barrier. It is about an administration that we as a community tolerate, and that makes things impractical on purpose, to make life hard for people. Cut people off in small things and in big ones. Do not bring the fuel price down, because people are supposed to stop driving — and then nobody can run a business, nobody can supply anything. Plan the traffic so that it stands still and never look at what comes out of it. No respect, no liberty, no justice, no living, and no future for the kids.

After that it gets quiet again, and better. Because whatever is in the way, that is simply what we have to take care of, and the rest of the time we run our own lives. And there is something worth holding on to: we are part of nature on this earth and a product of it — not of Mars, not of Venus. We were born here, this is our home, and there is room enough here for all the creatures. We do not have to run away to places that do not belong to us and to which we do not belong. Someone will always offer you a ticket off the planet; we are not interested. There are so many good places on this one that you can spend a whole life finding them. There is no better place than this.

From this ride: different direction today, blocked crossing at the road works, trees greener than last week, farmers’ ground prepared, potatoes this year, blue sky the whole way.

📺 Also available on Rutube and Youtube:
https://rutube.ru/video/358fbcbefcc6b26a087a287d7590e3c9/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJGWSVTxs0Q

✍️ What do you have to say? The grass has grown a lot this week, the first blossoms are out, the trees are getting greener. The moon last night was so bright it was like a small sun; we were both outside at half past one, and it makes for good pictures. On the road it is busy: sun, Easter coming, the last shopping before the holidays, and fuel at a price neither of us has paid before.

Then it turns serious. The woods around here look bad — cleared out for economic reasons, for space and for power. We talk about a commission in the EU parliament on turning nature into tradable units; a commission writes a report, and we do not trust where that goes, because economic interests come first. Without farmers there is no food, and without the trades and the service people nothing runs either. People are being run like machines, and we are a natural product, not an industrial one — we had a mother and a father, and we are here to make a living and a well-being, not to function.

We say it plainly: the government is only us. We live in a republic, the power is with the people, and if we want it different we have to do it with our own hands. Before we break down, we better break the system down. Left idea, right idea, and then nothing to say to each other — that is the trap, because we are all human beings, close to each other genetically, and different only as individuals. Even after everything the pandemic showed us, people still refuse to talk. Easter is a good time to change that.

And there is a difference between a natural end and one you create yourself. You have a choice in between, and creating your end earlier is not the way to go — we are here to live. All of this is visible without glasses; anyone can see it, hear it, smell it. The kids depend on us, and nobody shows them how it works. So the question we end on: what is our own idea of making a living — not the economic one, not the industrial one, not the government one?

From this ride: detour because of a road block, bright moon at half past one, battery test 4–5 minutes shorter, first blossoms.

📺 Also available on Rutube and Youtube:
https://rutube.ru/video/72e415179bb7c3248d87fc71bd5f5e12/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KA2RNIgMeik

✍️ What do you have to say? The day cannot decide: grey, then a little snow, then the sun out, then rain and sun together, and everything sparkling afterwards — the grass, the water drops on the hood. April is knocking on the door. March was warm, and we hope for a summer that is neither too dry nor without rain. The truck runs really well today, the engine sounds freer after a bit of cleaning and work — and with no power steering and no synchronized gearbox, driving it is its own kind of handwork. Along the way the grass has come up much greener, the trees are turning, somebody has stacked wood for next winter. And we talk: that we do not want to go 500 years back to what we call the Christian barbecue — the holy war, killing people because somebody does not like them; that what was fought for 250 years ago was independence and the guarantee of your own integrity through liberty; that we all belong to nature, and the only ones claiming otherwise are people. And that doing your work well leaves you with a clean feeling — the chance is there, but taking it is your own decision.

From this ride: no power steering, no synchronized gearbox, snow, sun and rain in one day, first green on grass and trees.

📺 Also available on Rutube and Youtube:
https://rutube.ru/video/0df17580e77286afb1219b9ead27add1/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPDplEutYY4

✍️ What do you have to say? This first one is mostly a shakedown run: we set up the camera and find out what the rig actually does. How much engine noise it picks up and whether our voices still carry under it, the reflection of the screen in the windshield, image stabilization turned all the way up and then all the way down to see the difference, a switch to normal video, 60 frames, loop recording every three minutes, and a change of aspect ratio to 2.35:1 for the cinema look. We keep an eye on the battery while the screen is running. And in between, the things you notice from the cab: the sun doing you good, the first butterfly of the year, the insects back again, the hope for a summer that is not too dry — and what a tankful costs today, 170 euros. No big topic this time.
